About the Creation
For the Haringey Feast, artist Úna King created tea towels with the Woodlands Park Nursery School and Children Centre.
The tea towels were decorated with lino-cut food-shaped stamps and were used by staff and volunteers at the Feast.
About the Artist
Úna Kina is a textile-based artist who proudly calls Haringey her home. Her artistic journey explores the balance between utility and aesthetics, inviting viewers and users alike to ponder their roles in the realm of functional items we encounter daily.
In her creative process, Úna employs an array of techniques and mediums, including canvas, painting, embroidery, and print. These artistic choices mirror her exploration of object functionality, weaving a rich tapestry of thought-provoking and visually captivating pieces.
