Twice Grammy-nominated Wizzy Wow created a new song for the Haringey Feast.
Wizzy Wow worked with young adults from the borough of Haringey who took on the roles of composers, singers, songwriters and producers. Workshop sessions took place at local studio Ten87.
About the Artist
Isra Lohata, better known as Wizzy Wow, is a songwriter, musician, and a twice Grammy-nominated music producer (Ed Sheeran’s X and Chrisette Michele’s Better) with an established name in the music industry for his innovative production work.
Isra first discovered his love for music production at a young age, finding solace in music after moving to London from Sweden. He has worked with the most exciting UK rap artists of the time such as 2 Chainz, Big Sean, Kano, Tinie Tempah, Giggs, Chip, Knucks and Stormzy, for which he was nominated for a prestigious Ivor Novello award for co-producing, Don’t Cry For Me.
In addition to making music, Isra enjoys sharing his experiences and knowledge to develop and help others reach their full potential, having also worked with Levi’s and Skepta as one of their music mentors.
About the Community
For this project, Wizzy Wow taught music production, songwriting and vocal arrangement to young adults in Haringey.
Without established connections or opportunity, the creative industries are becoming increasingly difficult to enter, therefore this project gave participants vital access to the music industry.
