Candles by Trippy Tuesday

About the Creation
Trippy Tuesday (aka Sam Margriet Bokma) made 50 decorated pillar candles for the Haringey Feast banquet tables at Alexandra Palace. The candles were created from vegan and responsibly sourced soy wax, mica powder and decorated with candle-safe paint.
Drop-in candle making workshops were held with the local community at Cambio Studios.
About the Artist
Launched in 2020, Trippy Tuesday makes eco-friendly candles and jewellery, all handmade locally. Founded during the first lockdown, Trippy Tuesday is on a mission to challenge unrealistic body expectations, by counteracting the unrealistic body types being used in marketing – creating a fairer representation for all.
Prior to launching Trippy Tuesday, Sam was an Assistant Director on feature films and commercials.

About the Community
Workshops where residents could drop in and learn to make beautiful candles were held at Cambio Studios.
